| "Heir Apparent" by Opeth. Their new cd came out yesterday, even though I got it shipped the day before (it was autographed too  ) and it leaks months before that. iosys isn't definable, really; they produce remixes of music from touhou, so it ranges from happy hardcore to light ambient to jazz. probably the best doujin music on the planet. they're popular in the 2chan and danbooru communities. |

they're a very good death metal band. i'm mostly a fan of alex webster's bass work.
death metal, which usually isn't percussive enough for me, cannibal corpse is instrumentally impressive enough to warrant me getting their discography (which i did). |

i think cannibal corpse is like a pornogrind-oriented brutal death metal band.
the lyrics are quite outrageous and seemingly uninspired, but the instrumentals are very well done.
it's not like all of their songs are titled like the ones on tomb of the mutilated (which admittedly are pretty funny/cheesy titles, but i digress), so i think they can be taken pretty seriously, even lyrically. it's called death metal, after all.
kronos is good. don't have anything by them, though, and i'm not inclined to bother; running short on disk space, and they don't stand out to me.
on a side note, please tell me you don't like slayer. |

I don't listen to slayer very much, or any Thrash for that matter. They just don't really stand out to me.
