Those are my suggestions for the pokemon sprites used on the ranks, if this set is chosen. Thought it would be good to mix it up a bit.
I suggested a third "stage" and Starter Pokemon for the "stage" pokemon ranks, but it could really be anything. I just thought of how cool it was with the Pokemon Trainer in Brawl having Squirtle, Ivysaur, and Charizard (which are all stage 1, 2, and 3 pokemon, respectively) so I thought it'd be cool if we did something like that. Of course it'd be even cooler if we did them from different types and generations. I don't know, just a thought.
Also, Charolette mentioned maybe having different rank images for male/female members. I don't know if/how you'd be able to do it, but I thought it was a good suggestion so I'm just throwing it back out on the table. |

| Hey those are some good suggestions. I don't think you can do them for male/female people on the forum. I thought of that to, actually I started with those on makeing the first set of ranks. (the ones we have now) But stopped when I realized there wasn't any way to make the users gender and number of posts you have make a rank. Ill check around more and see if there is a way to do it, but I'm not promising anything. _________________ Diamond Code: (Travis) 0301 8587 0344 |

| like i said on pokestadium, phpBB allows you to create usergroups with customizable rank icons, and it's no trouble to create a usergroup for, say, females only, which will have a separate set of icons based on default rank. it's possible that these might have to be manually toggled, but for a community this small in size, i'm sure it wouldn't be a problem to change people's usergroups every now and then. in relation to the OP, i picked set 2, but i'd prefer the following edits: New Trainer - 0 Posts Trainer - 50 Posts Cool Trainer - 100 Posts Ace Trainer - 250 Posts Gym Leader - 500 Posts Elite Four - 750 Posts Champion - 1000 Posts Legendary Battler - 1500 Posts reason being it's not that hard to get to most of the original ranks, and, as it's practically a fixed scale, you're going to have a bunch of legendary battlers running rampant in no time at all. as the community grows, as i think you would like it to, these ranks should also increase exponentially in difficulty, as people will inevitably post more when there is more cumulative activity. ideally, very few people should be reaching the top rank. |

| I think we should go with Dragon's set, or the one Charlotte just posted. The third one or the original first set look horrible to me, sorry. _________________ I am Dominic the Betlwedl, formerly known as Dratini. You can call me Dom for short, if you'd like. | Gegis right, some people like to spam to get a special rank. But we can always lower the number of post someone has by delete that post. So even if they do spam, mods assigned to that forum and admins can delete that message and there rank would go down. Also if they delete there own message it will go down to. So no need to worry about that. And also for Charlotte, you can make user groups that include special people and they will have there special rank. But the people in that group that is a mod or admin. Would have there rank changed (so say if you were a admin you would still have admin powers, just it would say the user groups rank name there instead of admin) it's exactly what i did like to dragon or tocs. They still have there mod ability's, but there rank name is changed. If you want to set up a user group for you (and if we get some more users) your friends. Just tell me. _________________ Diamond Code: (Travis) 0301 8587 0344 |

| I agree with the thing about deleting posts. If people just spam to get posts for a rank, we can just get them some kind of post cap or something if they ignore any warnings they're given about spamming. Also, iff you let Charolette Mod a specific forum, methinks it should be Multimedia. Something tells me she'd prefer that one On an unrelated note, would it be possible for us to get more emoticons? I find that the current set lacks some of the ones I'd typically find myself using on other forums. For instance, I find a lack of generic happy ones without it being some kind of specific ridiculous face |

| I did find out how to change the smilys, but the problem is I don't have any smilys to put on there. If you or anyone could get me some im sure I could put them up. Maybe Johan would let us use the pokestadium ones? _________________ Diamond Code: (Travis) 0301 8587 0344 |
